About Combat Words
Combat Words is a multiplayer word game in your browser. It plays like Wordle, but head to head: every player secretly picks a real word of the same length, and everyone races to crack all the others. Each guess is scored against every opponent's word at once - green for the right letter in the right place, yellow for a letter in the wrong place - and the first player to crack every word wins.
How it works
- Up to 10 players share a game, with word lengths from 4 to 8 letters.
- Games start within 10 minutes of being created and last at most 10 minutes once they begin, so there's always a quick match.
- Nobody sees anyone else's guesses. Spectators can watch progress, and every secret word is revealed at the end.
- Play with friends in a private game (by code or invitation), or join whoever is playing.
- No one to play with? Games can include computer players at three difficulty levels.
- Wins are tracked on the leaderboard.
